WORKING TITLE: Marketing Specialist
WORK SCHEDULE: M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
DEPARTMENT: Marketing   
SALARY RANGE: $45,581 to $66,190 annualized
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
This position exists in order to manage, coordinate and execute the strategic direction of the College website and digital presence. The person in this position will collaborate across the College to execute web initiatives that support enrollment management, strategic College goals, and information needs related to various audiences and communities. This includes designing, developing, and maintaining content on the main SCTCC website and digital advertising platforms, as well as mobile applications and emerging electronic communication vehicles (including interior and exterior electronic signage, broadcast e-mail, texting, kiosks, etc.). This position also serves as a primary videographer for the College.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Marketing and Design or related field (communications, marketing, advertising, graphic design, web design, or comparable)
  • Two years’ professional experience in marketing, design, web content or related position
  • Two years’ experience using web content management systems (for example, Drupal, WIX, WordPress or others)
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field (marketing, communications, or comparable).
  • Five years’ professional experience in marketing, design, web content or related position
  • Three years’ experience using web content management systems and CSS, HTML5, and/or other coding languages
  • Experience with professional camera equipment, videography, and video editing using software such as Adobe Premiere
  • Experience with Google Analytics interpretations and implementation of digital tracking methods
  • Experience with writing, creating, and placing digital advertising via Google, YouTube, Facebook, and/or Instagram
  • Experience in higher education
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability in cultivating internal and external relationships to build credibility and trust
  • Skilled in interacting with the general public, outside community agencies, and colleagues in a dynamic environment
 
Physical Requirements, with or without an accommodation:
·      Ability to perform work that requires the following lifting/carrying strengths:
o  Lifting/Carrying a maximum of 10 lbs.
o  Posture/Other Activities: Primarily sitting with occasional light work such as standing and walking.
o  Desk/Computer work with occasional lengths of time standing for events.  
·      Ability to perform in a work environment which may include the following physical functions:
