Position Summary:   
Under the general supervisor of the Assistant Director of the School Financial Services Team, the School Administration Consultant provides financial consultation to school district administrators, business officials, accountants and bookkeepers to assist in the fiscal management of their agencies, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting. This position is also involved in the process of calculating and verifying state general school aids and revenue limit calculations.

Qualifications:

A minimally qualified applicant must have experience:
• Developing or presenting training materials in-person or online;
• Providing consultation on state or federal laws/rules/requirements to government officials, school staff, or the public;
• Analyzing/interpreting data using Excel, Google Sheets, or similar office productivity software; and
• Reviewing the quality of data compiled/submitted/calculated by others.
Well-qualified applicants will also have experience analyzing/interpreting state or federal laws/rules/requirements pertaining to school finance (e.g., state aids, revenue limits, school district budget processes, etc.); and/or, providing consultation on public school finance laws, budgeting, accounting, enrollment reporting, or public school aid programs; and/or, analyzing/interpreting data using a statistical software package (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, SPSS, etc.).
